Agbani Darego is a well-known Nigerian model who rose to prominence after winning the Miss World pageant in 2001. Her first strike into the world of fashion and modeling included competing in pageants and featuring in print advertisements for the boutique chain ‘Collectibles.’
Following the Miss Universe pageant, Naomi Campbell, an English actress, and supermodel invited her to participate in the charity fashion show “Frock ‘n’ Roll” in Barcelona. Following that, she signed a modeling contract with Donald Trump’s management.

Oluchi Onweagba
Oluchi Onweagba is a Nigerian supermodel, entrepreneur, and television personality. She is known for introducing the world to Africa as a supermodel source. Her modeling career began in 1998 when she won the “Nokia Face of Africa” competition.
A modeling deal with Elite Model Management was included in the prize package. In 1998, she made her runway debut. It was for Marc Bouwer, a designer. Oluchi struggled with body confidence as an adolescent, which is hard to believe considering her supermodel career.
She has always been troubled with her weight, but things changed when she was encouraged to join the “Nokia Face of Africa” contest. She married Luca Orlandi, an Italian fashion designer, in 2005 and started a four-year run in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
She’s since used her popularity to open a modeling agency in Africa to help the next generation of African models. She soon rose to supermodel status, becoming a member of the Victoria’s Secret Angels in 2002.

Anna Banner is a former beauty queen, model, and actress. Anna represented Bayel as a state and was a standout from the start. Her claim to fame is MBGN, as her name was all over the media since she won the pageant.

Mayowa Nicholas is a fashion model from Nigeria. Nicholas was a finalist in the Elite Model Look competition in 2014. She’s walked in shows for Balmain, Calvin Klein, Kenzo, Hermès, and Acne Studios, to name a few.

Genevieve Nnaji is a Nigerian actress, producer, and director born in Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria, on May 3, 1979, and grew up in Lagos.
Genevieve Nnaji began her acting career as a child actor in the iconic television soap opera Ripples at the age of eight. In 1998, she was cast in the film Most Wanted, which launched her into the burgeoning Nigerian film industry.
Genevieve Nnaji signed a recording deal with EKB Records, a Ghanaian label, and released her debut album One Logo Logo Line in 2004. She has been the top actress to be named Best Actress by the Nigerian Censors Board in 2003.
Oprah Winfrey was assigned to her as the “Julia Roberts of Africa” in 2009. In 2005, she became the first actor to receive the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. For her contributions to Nollywood, she was appointed a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic by the Nigerian government in 2011.
