Fashionuer is an independent fashion, hair and beauty magazine. This page explains how we make money, how that money is kept separate from what we recommend, and the limits of the advice we publish.
How Fashionuer makes money
We are free to read. Our work is paid for by:
- Display advertising served by Mediavine and its partners.
- Affiliate links: when you buy through some links to shops, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
- Sponsored articles paid for by a brand, always labelled “Sponsored”.
- Featured Contributor author accounts, whose posts carry a Sponsored disclosure.
Affiliate disclosure
Some articles link to retailers through affiliate networks, including FlexOffers. Links to partner stores may be converted to affiliate links automatically.
- Articles that contain affiliate links show a short note at the top of the page.
- Commissions never change the price you pay.
- Brands cannot pay to be included in, or to rank higher in, our editorial lists and roundups.
- We recommend products and looks on their merits, and we say so when we have not tried something ourselves.
Sponsored content and Featured Contributors
Paid content is always clearly marked so you can tell it apart from our own editorial work.
- Sponsored posts carry a “Sponsored” label and a disclosure box at the top.
- Links in sponsored posts are marked rel=”sponsored” for search engines, as Google requires.
- Featured Contributors are paid author accounts; every post they publish is labelled.
- Our editors review sponsored content for accuracy and taste before it goes live.
Not professional advice
Our hair, beauty, skincare and style content is for general information and inspiration.
- It is not medical, dermatological, trichological, legal or financial advice.
- Patch-test new products and dyes, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- See a qualified professional before chemical treatments, cosmetic procedures, piercings or tattoos, or if you have a skin or scalp condition.
Accuracy and corrections
We check facts against reliable sources and update articles when trends, products or prices change. Prices and availability can change after publication, so always check the retailer’s site. If you spot an error, tell us and we will fix it under our Corrections Policy.
Opinions and interviews
Views shared by interview guests and contributors are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Fashionuer.
Images and trademarks
Product names, logos and brands belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. Images are our own, licensed, provided by the brand or credited to their source. If you believe an image is used incorrectly, email us and we will review it promptly.

We link to other websites for reference and shopping. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
