This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels and scripts) used on fashionuer.com, why we use them and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They remember settings, keep the site secure, measure how pages are used and help show relevant ads. Some are set by us (first-party); others are set by partners we work with (third-party).
Cookies we use
| Type | Who sets them | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Fashionuer (WordPress, Wordfence security) | Keep the site secure, block attacks and remember your consent choice. These cannot be switched off. |
| Preferences | Fashionuer | Remember small choices such as an open menu or a dismissed notice. |
| Advertising | Mediavine and its advertising partners (including Google) | Show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and, with your consent where required, personalise ads. |
| Analytics | Mediavine, Grow by Mediavine | Count visits and understand which articles are read, so we can improve them. |
| Engagement features | Grow by Mediavine, Pinterest, YouTube | Power the save, share and subscribe buttons, recommended posts, Pinterest Save buttons and embedded videos. |
| Notifications and email | OneSignal, Mailchimp | Deliver browser notifications and newsletters you signed up for. |
Advertising and your privacy choices
Ads on Fashionuer are managed by Mediavine. Depending on where you live you will see a consent banner (UK, EU and EEA) or a link to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (certain US states). You can change your choices at any time from the privacy settings link in the footer or on the consent banner.
You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Mediavine explains its own data use in its ad partner list.
How to control cookies
- Use the consent banner or the privacy settings link to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all offer this).
- Turn off browser notifications in your browser’s site settings at any time.
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link at the bottom of every newsletter.
Blocking some cookies may stop parts of the site working, such as video, saving to Pinterest or remembering your choices. You will still see ads, but they may be less relevant.
How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set time, from a few minutes to up to two years, unless you delete them sooner.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when we add or remove a partner or when the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
