Abdul Aziz Khan’s abrupt disappearance in November 2017 ended a contentious custody dispute between his parents.
Abdul Khan, Aziz’s father, has searched for information and tried to learn what happened to his cherished son.
Aziz’s case is one of two featured on the Netflix series “Unsolved Mysteries: Abducted by a Parent,” which features two more abduction cases.
Abdul and Rabia were employed in the healthcare sector at the time of the incident, and Rabia had moved to Atlanta for a job to be nearer to her family.
Abdul had consented to the transfer and made everything work despite the separation.
In his initial statement, he claimed that their separation was amicable and that they had agreed to share possession.
Rabia reportedly started restricting Aziz’s time with his father, though, at some time. She would organize soccer matches or say the child was ill when he was with Abdul.
Abdul pressed for a parenting assessment after the divorce was finalized, which led to a contentious custody dispute between the two parents.
Rabia Married College Friend
Around this time, Rabia wed college friend Elliot Bourgeois. Rabia charged Abdul and his family with becoming violent throughout the court case, which led to a protracted investigation in which Abdul was not permitted to visit Aziz.
Nevertheless, the accusations were found to be untrue about 18 months later. A judicial psychologist reportedly believed Rabia to be a danger to the small kid and recommended that Abdul have primary custody.
Rabia was supposed to appear in court on November 28, 2017, for the decision, but she never did.
Abdul, who was concerned, got in touch with his son’s school and discovered that Aziz hadn’t been seen there since a week before their court date.
