Erica Dickerson submitted the court paperwork seeking custody and maintenance of their 2015-born baby Irie, the rapper Freddie Gibbs’ ex-girlfriend.
The daughter of Hall of Fame NFL running back Eric Dickerson reportedly filed a custody petition asking the court to decide on a parenting schedule and a child support arrangement with the rapper.
According to legal documents, the ex-couple appeared in court to decide how to best care for their kid if they could not reach an agreement.
It’s important to note that after Irie was born, Gibbs posted pictures of himself and his daughter on Instagram, expressing his love and gratitude for her.
He claimed she kept him out of trouble and motivated him to work toward improvement, which is why he has a purpose in life.
The court decided the outcome of Irie’s custody and child support as the legal procedure progressed.
Rapper Freddie Gibbs’ Ex-Girlfriend Erica Dickerson
Rapper Freddie Gibbs’ ex-girlfriend Erica Dickerson requested custody and maintenance payments for their 2015-born baby Irie.
After the birth of their daughter, the couple called off their relationship. Although the specifics of the custody and child support petition were unclear, the court needed to review income and spending affidavits from both parties to determine how much support should be paid.
Despite the legal dispute, Gibbs’ career seemed to be expanding. “Alfredo,” a joint album he released with The Alchemist, landed at number 15 on the Billboard 200.
He joined Warner Records in June 2020 and dropped the single “4 Things” alongside Big Sean and Hit-Boy.
However, his prior legal troubles complicated the custody and support dispute, including his 2016 arrest and deportation to Austria on suspected rape accusations.
