Meredith Vieira Early Career
In 1975, Vieira started her broadcasting career as a Worcester, Massachusetts, newscaster for WORC radio station.
Gradually, she moved up the ranks in television broadcasting and secured a position as an investigative reporter in the newsroom at WCBS-TV in NYC in 1979.
After three years, she joined CBS and served as a news reporter based out of their Chicago office in 1982.
