In an interview with Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen on Apple Music, Wilson shared how her parents inspired her for the songs “Grease” and “Those Boots (Deddy’s Song).”
“Grease” was inspired by her mother’s saying, “Now we’re cooking with grease,” while “Those Boots (Deddy’s Song)” was based on memories of helping her dad get ready for work in the morning.
Wilson’s close-knit relationship with her family, particularly her father, has been previously discussed, especially after he experienced health issues last summer.
Wilson announced her first-ever headlining tour, the Country With A Flare Tour. It was presented by Stella Rosa and featured support from Ben Chapman, Meg McRee, and Leah Blevins on select dates.
The tour began on 4 January in Spokane, Washington, and ended on 31 March in Columbus, Ohio.
