Katie Hopkins was deported from Australia after posting a video on her Instagram mocking the hotel quarantine rules. She called the lockdown the greatest hoax in human history.
A few days back, Hopkins posted a video on her Instagram in which she ridiculed Australia’s quarantine rules by opening the door to a food delivery guy, naked. After this post, thousands of citizens signed the petition to dismiss her from Australia as they felt insulted.
The British media personality, 46, boarded a Singapore Airlines flight from Sydney at 3 pm on Monday after the Australian government nullified her visa. She was also fined $1,000 due to breaking the hotel quarantine rule by answering the door naked and without a face mask.
Hopkins had to appear in the reality program Celebrity Big Brother after finishing the mandatory quarantine phase of two weeks. But during her stay, she shared a live video of her making fun of the covid rules by opening the door to the food delivery guy while she was naked and her face mask-free.
In her live video, she said that the police officer who checked her told her that if they knock on her door, she was supposed to wait 30 seconds and then open the door. She burst into laughter after saying this. And she said that she deliberately opened the door naked to frighten the delivery person.
After these remarks, the Australian citizens were infuriated, and they signed the petition to send Hopkins back home. She was dropped out from the program, and the government canceled her visa.
Government personnel such as Minister home affairs Karen Andrews said that he hadn’t heard much about her and never wanted to hear about her ever.
Katie also ridiculed all those Australians who are stranded in other countries due to the Covid lockdown.
So as her visa got annulled, she was seen carrying her luggage from Sydney airport as she flew back, and it was indeed an embarrassing scene.
