Harry Belafonte had a large family, and he was a proud father. He had four kids, two with his ex-spouse Marguerite and two with his second ex-spouse Julie Robinson.
Harry married Pamela in 2008 and stayed married until his demise at 96 on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. He died from congestive heart failure, according to sources.

Adrienne Belafonte Biesemeyer
Adrienne, Harry’s eldest daughter with Marguerite Byrd, has established her career away from her father’s fame. She has been leading a private counselling practice for children and families.
Adrienne achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Art from West Virginia State College and then pursued a Master’s degree in Art in Community Counseling.
She was even invited to be the keynote speaker at an event honouring the life of Martin King, Jr. at West Virginia State College.
Her dad was a close buddy of MLK. Adrienne also inherited the humanitarian trait and currently serves as the executive director of the Anir Foundation along with her daughter, Rachel Blue Belafonte. The floor, founded in 1997, provides socially liable volunteer opportunities in Southern and Eastern Africa.
Shari Belafonte
Shari is the daughter of Harry and Marguerite. She made her big-screen debut in 1982’s If You Could See What I Hear and pursued a career in acting.
ABC’s acting Hotel cast Shari as Julie Gillette in 1983, which launched her career. She has since appeared in General Hospital, The Morning Show, and Sistas.
FOX’s 9-1-1 featured Shari in a recent guest role. Shari married the General Hospital actor Sam Behrens in 1989 after divorcing her 1st husband, Robert Harper, in 1988. The pair have been together ever since. They have no kids.
David Belafonte
David Belafonte, an actor, is Harry’s only son and first child with Julie. He played roles in Timebomb and Across the Tracks.
Like Shari, David also dabbled in the enterprise. David worked closely with Harry and once served as the VP of Belafonte Enterprises, a publishing company founded by his father.
David worked behind the sets on Harry’s 1997 TV special “An Evening with Harry Belafonte & Friends.” Malena and David have been married since 2000. They have one daughter, Serafina, who was born in 2003.
Gina Belafonte
Harry had his second child with Julie, a daughter called Gina, in 1961. Like her two elder siblings, Gina has been carrying roles since the 80s and discovered her big break as Carmela Pagan in The Commish.
Gina returned to the big screen in 2016 with a role in Courting Des Moines. She performed in the acclaimed biopic BlacKkKlansman directed by Spike Lee.
Gina is also concerned with Sankofa.org. Harry founded a social organisation that educates, motivates, and activates artists and allies to support grassroots movements and equitable change.
Gina is a mother to one daughter, whom she shares with her husband, Scott McRay. After her dad’s passing, Gina shared a photograph of him on her Instagram and just wrote, “Love you dad.”
