According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Momeni’s neighbor on Harlan Street in Emeryville described him as friendly.
In 2011, Momeni was arrested in Alameda County on charges related to the sale of switchblades, which is considered a misdemeanor in California.
Although he was charged with driving on a suspended license, the switchblade allegation was withdrawn.
According to the authorities, Lee and Momeni were driving around the city together in the hours before Lee’s death, and a heated argument is believed to have occurred before Lee was fatally shot.
This murder has not been deemed a robbery or a random attack, according to the police.
San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced that Momeni would be arraigned on April 14, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. local time.
He will be held without bail pending trial and charges of first-degree murder and aggravated murder with a knife. The case is currently under investigation.
