Over time, Susan Wojcicki, the CEO of YouTube, has constructed a technology empire. Outside work, she frequently spends time with her husband, Dennis Troper, in their home.
Dennis Troper, also known for his career in the tech industry, has been married to Susan Wojcicki since 1998. Troper obtained a master’s degree in applied economics from the University of California.
He worked for various companies, including Deloitte, Concur, and Orazle, before joining Google in 2003 as a group project manager.
He has held multiple positions at Google, and his most recent role was director of product management- trust, privacy, and user data, as per his LinkedIn profile.
In recent news, Wojcicki, who joined YouTube as CEO in 2014 after a successful career at Google, has announced that she will be stepping down on February 16, 2023, to focus on her family, health, and personal projects.
In a statement, she stated that she has worn various hats and carried out multiple responsibilities over the years, including managing marketing, co-creating Google Image Search, leading Google’s first Video and Book search, contributing to the creation of AdSense, working on the acquisitions of YouTube and DoubleClick, serving as SVP of Ads, and being the CEO of YouTube for the past nine years.
She accepted every challenge her way because it had a purpose that benefited many individuals worldwide, such as finding information, telling stories, and supporting creators, artists, and small businesses.
She expressed pride in their accomplishments, which have been thrilling, significant, and all-encompassing.
Susan Wojcicki’s New Chapter Of Life
After being with the company for almost 25 years, she has decided to step down as the head of YouTube and begin a new chapter dedicated to her family, health, and personal endeavors that she is passionate about.
She believes now is the perfect time to do so because YouTube has an exceptional leadership team.
Although stepping down as CEO, she plans to remain involved with the company, working alongside YouTube teams, mentoring team members, and meeting with creators.

Neal Mohan, the current chief product officer, will replace Wojcicki as CEO. Despite their successful careers, Wojcicki and Troper have also started a family and have five children.
While the Troper children are not in the public eye, Wojcicki has spoken candidly about her experiences with motherhood, stating that while many assume it to be challenging to balance with her job, she has high energy levels. She made this comment before the birth of her fifth child in 2014.
“I possess a considerable amount of resources both at home and work, and have the necessary skills to manage a large organization. Despite the challenges that came with having a second child, I persevered and remained committed to the potential of Google. Although the experience was not easy, I refused to give up as I firmly believed in Google’s potential. As a junior-level woman, it’s common for people to inquire if pregnancy will result in quitting; however, nobody asks me that question now.”
