Today, Selena Gomez shared a selfie that caught the world’s attention.
The post was actually to promote her beauty brand, Rare Beauty.
“Check out my new @rarebeauty Discovery Eyeshadow Palette in True to Myself and Always an Optimist Weightless Eye Primer,” she wrote. “I love that the palette comes with 7 everyday shades for easy combos and when you use it with the eye primer it really makes the shadows pop. -so weightless and doesn’t feel sticky.”
Rare also posted photos of Gomez using the eyeshadow palette:

Gomez has been incredibly busy with her real life ventures apart from her makeup line. Last month, she gave her very first interview of the new year, to Vogue. A while ago, she said she was thinking about retiring from the music industry (!!). In the interview, she spoke about her decision to disconnect from social media. She asks her assistant to post photos to her accounts.
“I woke up one morning and looked at Instagram, like every other person, and I was done,” she said. “I was tired of reading horrible things. I was tired of seeing other people’s lives. After that decision, it was instant freedom. My life in front of me was my life, and I was present, and I could not have been more happy about it.”
She added:
“I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that I’m so thankful, for that I keep going, but I think the next time I do an album it’ll be different. I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music.”
There’s no need to panic just yet. It seems like we’ll be getting more music from Selena. *prayer hands emoji*
