A Mount Pleasant woman was arrested for catfishing two teens, including her own child.
In December last year, police say Kendra Licari impersonated her daughter’s boyfriend on the internet for over a year.
As the Beal City girl’s basketball coach, Licari is accused of hiding her location and sending harassing messages.
“Someone else coined the term, it wasn’t myself, but they called it a version of cyber Munchausen syndrome in a sense that this seems to be the type of behavior where you’re making somebody feel bad or need you in their life because of this behavior,” prosecutors said.
Licari is accused of stalking a minor on two counts, using a computer to commit a crime on two counts, and obstructing justice on one count.
