Drake has released a previously unpublished video of his July 2017 altercation with Swedish law enforcement.
The Canadian music star revealed a clip of himself getting detained by the police in the Scandinavian nation in an Instagram story recounting a few of his greatest experiences from 2022.
Who’s in control here? It can be overheard being said by a speaker off-camera. Meanwhile, two officers escort Drake into a patrol car while sporting a bright red tracksuit.
Drizzy captioned the post, saying, “The money are helpful / The words are true / the suspicions are normal / the abilities of the proposed are deluded / the final race is gorgeous / and the contempt is mutual.” “Catch up at 23.”
OVO Sound Creator Was Detained On July
According to reports, the OVO Sound creator was detained on July 14 while out having fun in Stockholm, Sweden, on suspicion of marijuana-related offenses (weed is illegal in Sweden).
Originally, the rapper’s camp refuted the accusations, saying he had been at his accommodation and hadn’t been taken into custody.
Philip Lewis, an editorial director at HuffPost, tweeted further clarification, saying, “I spoke with Swedish cops and they informed me Drake is just not present in their possession.”
Days ago, Drake released a paper from the Swedish Federal Police Authority on Instagram, confirming the story.
“Info for All Those Charged with a Crime and Later Detained” was the paper’s heading, which implies Drake was held in custody but never charged.
The Document Continued To List His Privileges
The document continued to list his privileges while he was being held, such as the privilege to “know what you’re accused of and why you have been denied” and the entitlement to “obtain the aid of a defense attorney. Who are, under certain circumstances, can only be paid for by the state,” the entitlement to “accept food and rest as required,” and the correct to “receive the aid of a translator during interrogation techniques as needed.”
Subsequently, on his comeback album alongside 21 Savage called Her Loss, Drake specifically referred to the occurrence. On “Middle of an Ocean,” he rapped, “Swedish jail cell smellin’ like its some Carby Musk,” while promoting his expensive candle.
