Athena, age 4, was last seen on Tuesday when one postal employee saw Athena’s older sister, age 5, exploring the streets by herself close to their Cyril, Oklahoma, property.
Ivon and Alysia Adams, a couple, were in charge.
Alysia and Ivon were arrested independently on Thursday; Alysia got detained in Oklahoma, while Ivon was detained in Arizona.
The couple is not believed that they were united when the kid vanished.
A vehicle from the Adams’ residence was seized Thursday night following the caregiver’s detention, and trash pickup was delayed in Cyril on Thursday while police searched for “clues.”
They claimed to have considered it odd that a child’s trike was in the center of the road, but they failed to see Athena or her sister.
After being accused of neglecting a kid, Adams was lodged in the correctional facility on Thursday.
Athena Remains Unable To Be Found
Athena remains unable to be found. It is still unknown why Adams was given custody of the girls or whether any additional kids were residing in the house.
Identifying Athena’s natural parents and seeing if they were involved in her abduction are also parts of the police inquiry, according to officials yesterday.
Finding her is our priority; determining who is to blame will follow, police said.
Brook Arbeitman, a representative again for the Oklahoma State Department of Investigation, said, “But we must locate this little kid.”
The unnamed sister of Athena didn’t need any medical attention when she was discovered.
She is currently in immigration detention.
According to the postal worker, he saw the girl was “not exactly where she was meant to be” right away.
Authorities investigated when he reported locating her and discovered Athena was absent.
Whether Adams or her spouse were present at the time is unknown.
