Luc Coulier is the son of the famous actor and stand-up comedian Dave Coulier; however, he didn’t want only that to be his identity.
He decided to go off on his own to become a pilot. In my opinion, it was such a brave and bold move for him to study hard and fly planes one day.
Wasn’t it easy for him to enjoy and spend the money that his father had earned working tirelessly? Of course, he could’ve done that.
But, apparently, his upbringing was so good that he opted to become someone without using any of his parents’ privilege.

Who Is Luc Coulier?
As stated earlier, Luc Coulier is the first and only child/son of Dave Coulier and Jayne Modean (his mother).
He was born on the 14th of November 1990 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. Even though his father is a successful and wealthy actor and comedian, he didn’t have any interest in the Hollywood industry.
Surprisingly, Luc wanted to do higher studies after passing out of college. He was determined that one day, he would be able to fly planes.
Luc’s decision was a surprise for almost all of his close ones and the media. They were intrigued to know that the son of a successful actor doesn’t want to pursue his father’s legacy.
Instead, he wants to make his own name. In my opinion, had he joined the Hollywood industry through his father’s contacts, he would’ve been labelled as the latest product of nepotism in the industry.
Now, I don’t know if Luc had this “being-called-a-nepotism-product” thing in mind when he decided against becoming an actor, but one can argue, right?
Anyways, Luc Coulier’s zodiac sign is Scorpio, and he is of white-caucasian ethnicity. Coulier is around 31 (soon to be 32) years old as of June 2022.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Engineering, and Aircraft Operations. As of June 2022, he works as a pilot for SkyWest Airlines.
Luc’s Personal Life:
Although, Luc is a pretty reserved person and prefers to maintain his privacy. However, there are things you’d like to know about him.
He has a muscular and fit body, and he also has a tall height. He is around 5 feet and 7 inches tall, or 170 cm (1.70 meters).
Moreover, his weight is 75 to 80 kg or 165 to 176 pounds. His eye colour is blue, and his hair colour is brown.
Luc also has a girlfriend, or should I say, fiancee? Her name is Alex Cochran. She and Luc had been dating for a long time.
Then, one day, Luc proposed to Alex, and she said, “YES!” They exchanged rings and got engaged on the same day.
He posted their picture on the 2nd of March 2020 on his Facebook account. He said that after five years of being together, he finally gathered the courage to propose, and she said, “YES.”
Still, Luc hasn’t announced when Luc and Alex will be tying the knot or whether Alex is pregnant with Luc’s child or not. I guess we’ll have to wait, no?
Coulier’s Professional Life:
As stated earlier, from the beginning, he didn’t have much interest in acting, modelling, comedy, or stage shows; though, he could’ve been a great model, at least, had he decided to become one.
Some reports claim that Luc attended the Notre Dame High School in Los Angeles, California, and that is where he developed an interest in aviation, planes, and everything.
As of June 2022, Luc Coulier is a pilot, what he always wanted to be. He is employed by SkyWest Airlines, and by the looks of it, he is pretty great at his job.
Honestly, he has shattered those stereotypes that a doctor’s kid would be a doctor, an actor’s kid would be an actor, or a politician’s kid would be a politician.
By his decision, he has inspired many in the USA that following and investing your time in your passion is the best investment you can make.
It is true that he had made a lot more money and gained a lot more fame being an actor than he will now, being a pilot of not an international but a regional airline.
His Father, Dave Coulier:
As of June 2022, Dave is around 62 years old. His complete name is David Alan Coulier. He is a great actor and comedian.
He began his acting and comedy journey in 1979, and it has been more than 42 years since he has been at it. He celebrates his birthday on the 21st of September.
So far, Dave has married twice. He tied the knot with Jayne Modean (Luc’s mother) in 1990 – Luc was born in the same year – but things didn’t work out.
After two years of being together, Luc’s parents got divorced in 1992. Dave also dated Alanis Morissette, a famous Canadian singer, briefly, but their relationship also ended.
Then, 22 years later, in 2014, Dave got married to Melissa Bring Coulier, and it has been around eight years since they have been together. Dave and Melissa have no kids so far.
Luc’s Mother, Jayne Modean:
Coulier’s mother, Jayne Modean, is a famous ex-supermodel and actress. Yes! She began her acting and modelling career in 1974.
But a year after marrying Dave Coulier in 1991, Jayne left the Hollywood industry. Presumably, because of her son, Luc.
After divorcing Dave, there aren’t any reports on whether she got married again or not. She hails from Clifton, New Jersey, USA.
