In contrast to Wednesday-core, Jenna Ortega channeled Old Hollywood glitz on the red carpet of the 2023 Golden Globes.
The actress wore a floor-length Gucci evening gown with sheer pleated sleeves and a wrapped bodice as she made her entrance at a star-studded celebration.
The garment’s torso featured belly cutouts connected by silver hoops.
Ortega upped the ante with her accessories, donning several choker necklaces made of diamonds and a pair of earrings with crystals.
She added glittery silver platform heels to complete the ensemble.
For her portrayal of the show’s title heroine in Netflix’s Wednesday, Ortega was up for her first Golden Globe in Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
Wednesday surpassed Stranger Things 4 to become the English-language TV series with the most hours seen in a single week, totaling more than 341 million hours, since the show’s November 2022 debut on Netflix.
What Ortega Said In An Interview?
In an interview with Screen Rant, Ortega talked candidly about taking on the classic Wednesday character from the Addams Family while co-starring with Christina Ricci.
“I don’t think I could have deviated too much from the character because viewers already know and adore Wednesday,” she said, adding that she felt the script was written in a way that was reminiscent of her Wednesday. “Otherwise, it would have been disrespectful, a shame, or something similar. I also really like that version and that concept for Wednesday, but I started to add a few additional traits, behaviors, and emotions that would help the character development throughout the season.”
