Jack Klugman was an American actor who began his career in 1950 and made his mark with roles in 12 Angry Men (1957) and Cry Terror! (1958).
He guest-starred on numerous television series during the 1960s and won his first Primetime Emmy Award for his role on The Defenders in 1964.

Brett Somers was a Canadian-American game-show personality, actress, and singer. She was known as a panelist on the 1970s game show and for her recurring role as Blanche opposite Jack Klugman.
She was born in Halcomb, near Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada, and grew up near Portland, Maine. She moved to New York City at 18 to pursue a career in acting.
She wedded businessman Robert H. Klein in 1948 and had one child, Leslie Klein, who died of lung cancer in 2003. Unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce.
Afterward, she married actor Jack Klugman in 1953, and they had two sons, David and Adam.
However, it was long believed that Somers and Klugman separated in 1974. Subsequently, California court records state that the couple divorced in August 1977.
Somers was a member of the Actors Studio from 1952 and began her career in theater. She made many of her initial television appearances in dramatic programs.
