Singer and actress Hilary Duff’s wedding dress was a sight to behold! In an exclusive behind-the-scenes feature with Vogue, the Lizzie McGuire star opened up about the inspiration for her breathtaking Jenny Packham gown.
To make her dream dress come to life, Hilary enlisted the help of British designer Jenny Packham.
The actress wanted her gown to be elegant yet make a bold statement, and Jenny delivered just that. Hilary’s dress was an ivory, body-hugging gown with dramatic shoulders and cascading cape-like sleeves.
Hilary’s stylist Jessica Paster also shared that their favorite parts of the dress were the unique details that Jenny included.
These included tiny buttons that lined the back of the gown and embroideries representing their family underneath the train.
Hilary explained that there was an embroidery of their initials, their wedding date, and the initials of their children, Luca and Banks.
Hilary also mentioned that she hopes her daughter, Banks, will someday want to wear her dress and add to it.
The dress was in the same shade of ivory as Hilary’s dress and featured an empire waist, a pink velvet belt, ruffled sleeves, and an oversized bow.

Hilary also shared details about her hair and makeup for her big day. She wanted her newly-chopped hair to be stylishly slicked back but with a wavy texture.
Her hairstylist, Nikki Lee, added the desired texture with beachy waves and finished the look with a gold Jennifer Behr headband adorned with diamonds and pearls.
