His daughter announced the news of Lance Kerwin passing on Facebook on the 24th of January, 2023. He was a famous actor better known for his role in Salem’s Lot.
At the time of his passing, he was 62 years old. His successful acting career began when he was in his early teens.
As per closer weekly, Lance Kerwin’s net worth was estimated to be between $1 million to $14 million.
He was encouraged by his father to pursue a career in acting. However, his father was an acting coach, and his mother was a housewife.

He started his career in the early 1970s and made appearances in shows such as Emergency!, The Healers, Shazam!, and The Greatest Gift.
Lance Kerwin made his acting debut in 1976 as John Curtis in the television movie, The Loneliest Runner, written and directed by Michael Landon.
When he was 15 years old, he gained prominence due to his role as James Hunter in the James movie.
However, his role in Salem’s Lot in 1979 changed his life.
During an interview in October 2019, Lance reflected on his experience with the role, stating, “One of the reasons they liked me for the role was that when I came in, I had ideas. I didn’t have to give audition, but I came and meet them. And we talked about the character and talked about the film. This approach and willingness inspired them alot and they decided to cast me in the film.”
Throughout the 1980s, Lance Kerwin continued to act and appeared in shows such as Trapper John, MD, Murder; She Wrote, The Mysterious Stranger, and Side Show.
Why He Took A Break From The Entertainment Industry?
However, in the 1990s, he took a break from the entertainment industry and began serving in the U-Turn for Christ ministry in California and Hawaii.
In June 2021, documentary producer Chris Cooling started a fundraiser to help Lance return to Hollywood, as he was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The statement on the fundraiser website said, “Lance is ready to make a return to acting, he has the potential for TV and film work, but funds are needed to cover immediate needs and stabilize his family’s current situation.”
Unfortunately, Lance passed away before he could make his comeback.
Lance Kerwin, well-known for his role in The Wind & the Reckoning, passed away one year after his last film, as announced by his daughter Savannah on social media.
