Lisa Bonet was Born in San Francisco, California, on November 16, 1967. Bonet is of Jewish, African-American, and Cherokee descent. She began acting as a child and studied at the Celluloid Actor’s Studio after graduating high school.
In 1983, she landed her first television role in the medical drama “St. Elsewhere,” and in 1984, she was cast in the role of Denise Huxtable in the hit sitcom “The Cosby Show.”
Her performance gained her a nomination for a Young Artist Award, and the show’s success launched her into stardom.

The same year, she also starred in the film “Angel Heart” opposite Mickey Rourke, and on her 20th birthday, she eloped with rock singer Lenny Kravitz.
