Fox News released a statement saying that they had limited information about the incident and that their teams on the ground were working diligently to gather additional details as the situation unfolded.
Tragically, Fox News cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski was killed during the reporting alongside Hall after their vehicle was hit by gunfire.
On March 15, 2022, it was revealed that Hall lost a part of his leg due to the incident. The Ukrainian Ministry shared this information on its official Twitter account.
Alicia Meller’s Husband Was Badly Injured In The Blast
According to reports, Hall was badly injured in the blast and had “lost half a leg, foot, and sight in one eye.”
On April 7, 2022, Hall took to Twitter to share an update on his condition. He disclosed that he had lost half a leg on one side and feet on the other, adding that one hand was “being put together,” and he had lost sight in one eye.
He also mentioned that his hearing had been “pretty blown” as well.
In the post, he shared a picture of himself lying in what seemed to be a hospital bed, surrounded by various medical wires and supplies, wearing an eye patch.
Hall has chronicled his story of survival in his upcoming biography, Saved: A War Reporter’s Mission to Make It Home.
The book was published on March 14, 2023, and is expected to provide a detailed account of his journey back to Alicia and their children after nearly losing his life in Kyiv.
