Marjorie (née Coll), a high-school teacher, and Michael Prepon, an orthopedic surgeon, welcomed Laura Helene Prepon into the world on March 7, 1980, in Watchung, New Jersey, in the United States.
Prepon, the smallest of 5 kids, is of Irish Catholic and Russian Jewish ancestry. However, she is 43 years old.
In 1993, her father died when she was just 13-year-old. Prepon felt this loss deeply and has remained close to her family ever since.

She attended Watchung Hills Community High School.
She joined the “Total Theatre Lab” in Nyc in 1996, where she studied acting intensively with Caroline Thomas as her instructor.

She was able to secure many modeling jobs because of her height. She also went on picture assignments in Paris, Milan, and Brazil.
When She Began Her Acting Career?
She began her acting career in the soap opera “They Go On,” created by Levi Strauss, in September 1997.
When Prepon submitted a screen test for a position in the upcoming Fox comedy “That ’70s Show,” she was given her big break in 1998.
A gang of Wisconsin teens from the 1970s was the subject of the sitcom. She received praise for portraying the lovely and intelligent tomgirl “Donna Pinciotti.”
Laura Prepon started her acting debut in the 2001 independent film “Southlander.” Steve Hanft wrote the comedy series. Amongst many others, it included Beck and Beth Orton.
She appeared in the Dewey Nicks-directed teen movie “Slackers” in 2002. Jason Segel, Devon Sawa, and Jason Schwartzman were also featured.
During a brief hiatus from “That ’70s Show” in 2004, Prepon appeared in the independent movie “The Pornographer: A Love Story,” which tells the tale of a romance here between actresses and a director.

She provided the voice for an U.n Space Corps marine in the 2004 video game “Halo 2.” She was given a significant part in the suspenseful thriller “Lightning Bug” the following year.
Prepon not only acted in the movie but also directed it.
Prepon played the lead role in the 2005 movie “Karla,” which was modeled on the true story of a crazy couple who tortured and killed three daughters.
In the same year, she worked as the executive director of “E! Hollywood Hold’em,” an E! Television Network poker television program.
