Dudley Moore was a British performer, actor and comedian. He was born on April 19, 1935, in Dagenham, Essex, England. He got a scholarship at Magdalen College, Oxford, where he obtained two bachelor’s degrees in music in 1957 and 1958. However, his height was around 5ft 2 ½ as per celeb heights.
He went on to tour as a jazz pianist before collaborating with Peter Cook, Jonathan Miller, and Alan Bennett to create the satirical revue “Beyond the Fringe,” which received a Tony Award in 1963.
His Career
Moore and Cook went on to create several successful projects, including the Tv sketch comedy-drama “Not just Only…But even Also,” the movie “The Wrong Box” (1966), “Bedazzled” (1967), and “The Hound of the Baskervilles” (1977), and three comedy records under the name “Derek and Clive.”
Moore also wrote film scores, including “Bedazzled” and “Inadmissible Evidence” (1968), and starred in the comedy play “Play It Again, Sam” (1969).
Throughout his career, Moore continued to impress audiences with his musical skills, humor, and versatility. He passed away on March 27, 2002, in Plainfield, New Jersey, USA.

After the end of his partnership with Cook, Moore made his Hollywood debut in 1978 in Foul Play. He gained further fame for his roles in two blockbuster films.
