Born as Hillary Lynn Hayward-Thomas on Jan 6, 1984, in Boston, Massachusetts, Baldwin is the daughter of Kathryn Hayward and David Thomas Jr. Her mother is a former associate physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and assistant instructor of medication at Harvard Medical School, while her father is a lawyer with degrees in Spanish literature from Haverford College and law from Georgetown University.
