Dave Hollis, a retired top executive at Disney, who later joined his ex-wife’s media empire, has passed away at the age of 47. Rachel Hollis, who shared four children with him, expressed her devastation in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
She wrote that her heart was too shattered to find words and requested prayers for their children as they tried to cope with this unthinkable loss.
However, Rachel is the author of the best-selling book “Girl, Wash Your Face.” Variety and The Los Angeles Times reports indicate that Hollis had been hospitalized recently due to heart problems.
However, according to Hays County Justice of the Peace Andrew Cable, Hollis was pronounced dead on Sunday afternoon at his abode in Dripping Springs, a metropolis on the outskirts of Austin.

Cable also mentioned that an autopsy would be conducted to identify the cause of death, as Hollis was young and did not have a significant medical history, having been seen the previous evening.
Hollis had served as Disney’s global distribution president for almost seven years, but he left the position when he realized he was stuck in a corporate routine.
He then decided to assist his ex-partner with their media empire. Initially, he had doubts about venturing into the self-help industry.
In 2018, he mentioned to The Associated Press that he had some skepticism about the personal development industry, but he acknowledged that it had been effective for his partner, so he decided to try it.
The family relocated from Los Angeles to Austin and began creating live streams and podcasts and hosting motivational events. Their podcast, “Rise Together,” concentrated on marriage topics.
