He went to Vineland High School, where he was a running back and quarterback. Numerous football programs on the East Coast selected Pacheco, and he was heavily courted by schools like Syracuse, Maryland, Rutgers, and Virginia Tech, among others. He made his university commitment to Rutgers on June 21, 2017.
Throughout his four collegiate seasons, Pacheco played regularly and put up remarkable numbers.

Due to the untimely deaths of his sister Celeste Cannon and brother Travoise Cannon, Pacheco has experienced extreme hardship.
Celeste was abducted from Travoise in September 2017, while he was murdered in January 2016. Despite the heartache and anguish, Pacheco has managed to honor their remembrance and keep them near him.
On his right arm, he proudly exhibits tattoos of his sister and brother that form a stunning mural. Along with these ink decorations, Pacheco has other tattoos on his body that have a special value.
