The days when Mindy Kaling restricted her food intake to lose weight are gone. She used to “eat half of what was put in front of her” to shed pounds.
The star of “The Mindy Project” has made a noticeable change in her eating habits and appearance in recent years. In 2011, Mindy wrote in her memoir “Is Everybody Hanging Out Without Me?” that she would be “chubby for life” due to her lack of self-discipline and having “no hobbies except dieting.”
However, she recently stunned fans with her significantly slimmer figure, showcasing it in a tiny white dress.

Mindy Kaling recently spoke about her newfound approach to wellness. Despite her love for food, Mindy has learned to make healthy changes to her diet, and no longer views exercise as a form of punishment.
She emphasized that while she will always have a fondness for food, she is now practicing moderation and finding joy in it.
“I’m never going to be somebody who can limit myself to a diet of only spinach and salmon every day,” Mindy stated. “But for the very first time in my life, I am embracing moderation and I love it.”
Mindy has also adopted a more active lifestyle, consciously incorporating physical activity into her daily routine. “Instead of dedicating a large chunk of time to exercise in the morning or skipping it altogether, I now make a point to be more active throughout the day,” she explained. “For example, I might take a ten-minute walk instead of sitting down and scrolling through Instagram.”
At 43, Mindy Kaling recently spoke about her transformation journey and the shift in her mindset toward wellness.
She shared that she has made a conscious effort to prioritize health over appearance. “I have tried to let go of the recommendation of losing weight for vanity reasons and instead focus on being healthy,” she stated.
According to Mindy, being healthy entails being physically active, staying hydrated, and having a positive attitude toward exercise. “Healthy means working out, moving my body, and not having negative thoughts about exercise,” she added.
The mother of two enjoys a varied fitness routine, including jogging, walking, yoga, pilates, strength training, tai chi, and more.
Mindy believes that surprising the body with different forms of exercise is beneficial. “I think mixing up my routine is good for me,” she said.
