South African ex-convict, entrepreneur, and former National Alliance staffer Kenny Kunene was born on October 21, 1970.
Kunene started a shebeen consuming alcohol following work while employed as a hs English teacher and started committing crimes like robbery and fraud.
He was found guilty of operating a Ponzi scam in 1997 and sentenced to six years behind bars.
Kunene became a great speaker and was involved in local politics while in prison.
Later, he launched a bar called ZAR and had a reputation for throwing extravagant events.
He stirred controversy in 2011 by throwing “sushi parties” where attendees dined on sushi from the torsos of semi-naked women.
Kunene launched Yookoo Rides, a phone app for car-hailing services, in February 2019.
