Paul Nathaniel Barman, known professionally as MC Paul Barman, is a famous rapper from New Jersey. He was ranked number 14 on L.A. Weekly’s list of the “Top 20 Whitest Musicians of All Time” in 2012. Cakes da Killa, a.k.a. Rashard Bradshaw, is an American rap artist who fuses hip hop with house and electronic dance music. Chill Rob G
Robert Frazier known by the stage name of Chill Rob G, is another famous rapper from Jersey City, New Jersey. Hussein Fatal
Bruce Edward Washington Jr., known professionally as Hussein Fatal, was a New Jersey rapper. Washington is best known for his work with Tupac Shakur in the group “Outlaw Immortalz”. In February 1996, he first appeared on the hit singles “All Bout U” and “When We Ride” on Shakur’s album “All Eyez on Me.” Sadly, Fatal was killed in a car accident on July 10, 2015, at the age of 42.

John Forté
John Forté is a New Jersey hip-hop artist and producer. He is best known for being a leading member of the musical duo Refugee Camp All-Stars. Several songs on their Grammy-winning, multi-platinum album, “The Score,” were written and produced by Forté. Due to exceptional work on the album, Forté was nominated for a Grammy at the young age of 21. Later, he toured worldwide with The Fugees. Ice-T’s real name is Tracy Lauren Marrow, and he is a famous New Jersey rapper, songwriter, actor, and producer. He started his musical journey as an underground rapper in the 80s. Born on October 13, 1974, John Patrick Masterson is known to the world as Jipsta. He is a New Jersey hip-hop artist, musician, and music producer. Very few people know that Jipsta started his career by releasing his music online on the music-sharing platform “MySpace” in 2007. One of the early versions of his single, “Don’t Act Like You Don’t Know,” became an internet sensation which eventually became his debut single. In May 2011, Jipsta released his highly anticipated debut album, “Bandoozle,” making it to the top 50 of the iTunes Charts and Top 200 Dance Albums chart, where it remained for over five months. He was the first gay white rapper whose singles earned Billboard Top 10 single position.

Lady Crush’s real name is Rochelle Ryndia Ray. She is one of the pioneers of the old-school hip-hop scene in New Jersey. Coi Leray Collins is a young American rapper. She started her career by posting music on the music-sharing platform SoundCloud. Her single “Huddy” gained mainstream attention, and Coi released her first mixtape, “Everythingcoz,” in 2018. Leray’s first mixtape landed her a deal with 1801 Records and Republic Records.

The American singer-songwriter, rapper, actress, and producer, Queen Latifah, was born March 18, 1970. She started her career by signing a recording contract with Tommy Boy Records in 1989. After the contract, Latifah released her debut album All Hail the Queen on November 28, 1989. Her single “Ladies First” was a career-high point for her. She released her last album with Tommy Boy Records, “Nature of a Sista” (1991).
