With increasing age, there comes a downfall in the fame of actors in the fashion industry. At the same time, some of them manage to keep up their reputation by their hard work and make things up to the mark. In this article, I will describe such actors who are still in the limelight in their 50s. Here is the list of actors, along with their achievements.

Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen is an actor who has appeared in films and on television in the United States. Carlos Irwin Estevez is his other name. He began appearing in cameo roles in films in the late 1980s, and it wasn’t until 2000 that he landed a significant role on television in the series “Spin City.”

Stone offered Sheen the role of ‘Born on the Fourth of July’ in 1988, but Tom Cruise was cast instead, and Sheen was never told, which is why he never returned to acting. He landed the most significant role of his life in the CBS sitcom “Two and a Half Men” in the part of “Charlie Harper” in 2003.

He worked on the show for eight years and was nominated for three Emmys and two Golden Globes. Sheen starred in the film “Cadence,” which was directed by his father, Martin Sheen. He took on the part of a defiant army bulwark.

Jason Statham is an actor, producer, and martial artist from England. When the agency Sports Promotions saw Statham training at London’s Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, he shot to fame. Later, he worked as a model for the French Connection clothing line.

He portrays Frank Martin in the film “The Transporter.” Statham has called for a separate category for stunt artists at the Academy Awards. Guy Ritchie gave Statham his first big break in 1998 with the well-received film “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.”

Adam Sandler is an actor and comedian from the United States. He is a multi-talented person who has worked as a screenwriter, film director, and musician. He made his first entry as host of “SNL,” and the episode ended with a salute to his mate and cast-fellow member Chris Farley.

In the 2007 drama film “Reign Over Me,” Adam Sandler starred alongside Don Cheadle and Jada Pinkett Smith as a man who loses his wife and children in the “September 11 attacks” and is helped to recover by an old friend.

Steve Carell is one of Hollywood’s top comedic actors. He began his career with a traveling children’s theatre company before joining the Chicago troupe “The Second City.” In 1991, he made his film debut as ‘Tesio’ in the film ‘Curly Sue.’ In 2007, he appeared in Peter Hedges’ American comedy-drama film “Dan in Real Life.”

He portrayed ‘Dan Burns,’ a newspaper advice columnist, widower, and overbearing father to his children, in the film. ‘Hope Springs,’ a romantic comedy-drama directed by David Frankel and starring Carell, Meryl Streep, and Tommy Lee Jones, was released in 2012.

Carell received positive feedback for his portrayal of Dr. Bernard ‘Bernie’ Feld. In 2006, Carrel won the ‘Golden Globe’ for his outstanding work in ‘The Office.’ He shared the ‘Screen Actors Guild Award’ for ‘Outstanding Ensemble Performance in a Comedy Series two years later.

Michael J. Fox is an actor, author, and producer of Canadian and American descent. Michael Andrew Fox’s passion for acting was so intense that at the age of 15, he auditioned for and was cast in the Canadian television series “Leo and Me,” which was produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).

Around this time, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Despite his diagnosis, he continued to act in films such as ‘Doc Hollywood’ (1991), ‘For Love or Money (1993), ‘Life with Mikey’ (1993), and ‘Greedy’ (1994). His portrayal of Marty McFly in Robert Zemeckis’ Back to the Future film trilogy was also well received by the public, earning him many awards.

He was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series. Michael J. Fox won three Primetime Emmy Awards for “Family Ties”: Outstanding Lead Actor in Comedy Series and top Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Daniel Craig is an English actor who is best known for his role as James Bond in the James Bond film series. He made his acting debut in the coming-of-age drama “The Power of One” in 1992, and it was a promising start. He has done the role of an Afrikaner soldier in the film.
