On a recent episode of NBA Gametime Live on NBA TV, Shaquille O’Neal debuted a new haircut. The NBA Hall of Famer entered the set of the program with thinning hair and declared:
“Do not make fun of the hairstyle. Close up. Closeup. That young man is handsome. Isn’t that boy looking good?”
Before missing the remainder of the season with a foot injury, Anthony Davis had a fantastic campaign.
The LA Lakers player is shooting 59.4% from the floor while averaging 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.1 blocks per game.
What Shaquille O’Neal Stated?
Shaquille O’Neal recently stated that he views Anthony Davis as a power forward despite the fact that Davis has only played as a center this season.
O’Neal also noted that he hugely supports the current Lakers star. O’Neal said in an interview:
“Anthony Davis is a power forward, not a big guy. We can argue about this all day, every day, if we simply put together a big man and power. His performance is excellent. I’m providing him the same details that Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar] provided me without criticising him.”
Later, O’Neal said he hoped Davis and the Lakers might have another successful season:
“He spent his first year in LA there and carried out his duties. They won a championship, which is what we anticipate in Los Angeles. We anticipate victories… I’m an Anthony Davis fan, so I’ll keep my focus on him even if they don’t make the playoffs or have a strong run.”
The Lakers have recently played much better basketball, but they are currently trying to climb back into the postseason picture.
It would be interesting to see if they can establish themselves as contenders, with Davis expected to return in a few weeks.
