Although Taylor Swift was nominated for a maiden Golden Globe Award, she was not present at the event.
The 80th annual Golden Globe Awards, hosted at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, seemed to be missed by the vocalist of “Anti-Hero” for her track “Carolina.”
She was nominated for an award in the category of Best Original Song.
She joins fellow candidates Lady Gaga and Rihanna, who received nods for their songs “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick, respectively.
Winning Writers For “Naatu Naatu”
The winning writers for “Naatu Naatu” in the movie RRR were M. M. Keeravani, ala Bhairava, and Rahul Sipligunj.
However, they haven’t commented on her absence in the media. Taylor has been preoccupied with promoting Midnights, her tenth studio album.
A surprise entrance at the MTV Video Music Awards, glittering appearances at the American Music Awards and the MTV Europe Music Awards, and a series of glitzy media interviews were all part of her press tour.
Let’s just say that Blondie might be enjoying a well-deserved rest.
Swift fans made sure to tweet about how disappointed they were at the star’s absence.
“The Golden Globes have just begun, but there is no Blondie on site. She’s only stuck in traffic, I swear to you, “a user posted. Another user posted, “BREAKING: Taylor Swift was seen at the Golden Globes wearing an invisible gown.”
During a speech at the 2022 AMAs, Swift thanked her followers for supporting her throughout her successful career.
“In essence, my happiness is a result of the fans. And you have my undying love. That I still get to do this and that you still care is so astounding to me that I can’t even begin to convey it. Consequently, I’d like to thank you and use 13 exclamation points,” She spoke.
