Stephen Bear Sentenced To 21 Months For OnlyFans Sex Video
Reality TV personality Stephen Bear has been penalized to 21 months in jail for conveying a personal video of him having sex with his ex-girlfriend, Georgia Harrison. The verdict confirms that sharing intimate images without consent is a serious crime.
Bear was also ordered to mark the sex culprit register and given a restraining demand not to contact Harrison for five years. He must keep the police updated with his address and whereabouts for 10 years.
Bear, 33, and Harrison, another reality TV personality, were filmed having sex on Bear’s CCTV cameras in his garden in Loughton, Essex, on August 2, 2020.
According to their testimony of Harrison, she was not aware that they were being recorded and had explicitly instructed Bear not to disseminate the footage. Bear contended that he had erased the recording on the same day and had not shared it with anyone except Harrison.
The judge stated that Bear had acted with a desire to exploit the economic value of the recording and that his actions had resulted in Harrison’s extensive humiliation and embarrassment.
Bear waved from the dock and said, “Have a good evening. Enjoy the weekend everyone,” after being jailed. Speaking outside court, Harrison stated she was “happy and relieved that this matter is finally over.”
The charity Refuge’s chief executive officer, Ruth Davison, hoped the ruling would set a precedent and warn perpetrators that intimate image abuse is a serious crime.
