As everyone knows, Pippa Middleton is Kate Middleton’s younger sister who is also Duchess of Cambridge. Even though she’s not a member of the British royal family technically, the dress she wore on her big day in 2017 looked like it was straight out of a fairy tale.
At St Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire, the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister married her long-time boyfriend, James Matthews, a financier.
We have to admit that Pippa Middleton’s wedding dress was one of our favorites because it successfully combined traditional and modern elements.
Designed by Giles Deacon, this wedding dress combines a princess silhouette bodice and exquisite white lace with a contemporary twist.
So, without any further due, let us discuss all the elements which combined to create this masterpiece.

Wedding Dress Designer Of Pippa Middleton
The wedding dress of Pippa Middleton was designed by Giles Deacon, who is a world-renowned British fashion designer.
Previously known for his unconventional and populist style, Deacon gained more attention after the world learned he designed the wedding dress for Pippa Middleton.
Dean was tipped off about being the designer in advance, but he kept quiet until the day of the event. You will be surprised to know that he is the same designer who designed Lady Diana’s wedding dress.
While talking to the media, he shared his experience designing wedding dresses and said he was “thrilled” to work with Kate’s sister. He said,
“The bespoke silk cotton lace was hand appliquéd to create an illusion of the dress having ‘no seams. The lace bodice is embroidered with pearl detailing over an organza and tulle underskirt, which has layer upon layer to enable a floor-sweeping movement. It’s a privilege to show the craftsmanship that my team produces in London and a real testament to Pippa’s support of British fashion.”

Wedding Dress
Pippa wore an ivory lace and organza gown with a tulle veil for her wedding. Layers of organza and tulle under the lace bodice allow the underskirt to sweep across the floor while the lace bodice is embellished with pearl details.
In addition, the silk cotton lace was hand-applied to create the illusion that the dress had no seams.
Her dress also has a heart-shaped hole back detail, which is a nice way to show some skin without looking too flashy. Cap-sleeves and a high neck lend a unique look to this dress.
Pippa Middleton Wedding Dress Cost
According to media reports, this extravagant wedding dress cost more than $40,000.
Wedding Veil
The floor-length Wedding Veil was made from fine tulle embellished with embroidered pearls and designed by Milliner Stephen Jones.
Wedding Tiara
Pippa wedding gown was bursting with exquisite details, but we’re particularly fond of the delicate headpiece, which she wore to keep her veil in place.
She chose a Maidenhair fern tiara designed specifically by Robinson Pelham for her headpiece.
Pippa completed her wedding look by wearing pearl and diamond earrings which were “something old” as she wore these same earrings for sister Kate’s wedding in 2011. Pippa wore ivory satin Manolo Blahnik pumps with bespoke pearl detailing.
Wedding Reception Dress
Pippa Middleton stunned guests with her gorgeous Pronovias gown when she appeared at the wedding reception. Dressed in a white gown with a flowing skirt, she was a sure show stopper for the evening dinner and party.
