Nicole Brown Simpson & Ron Goldman Horrific Murders
Famous former football player O.J.’s ex-wife and her friend’s brutal stabbing death that happened outside Nicole’s Brentwood, California home, is one of the most covered trials of the century.
O.J. Simpson emerged as the prime suspect due to the weight of evidence against him, including Brown’s prior history of domestic abuse.
On June 17, Simpson and his friend AC Cowlings agreed to turn themselves in another costume so that no one could find them, but unfortunately, they got apprehended by police, despite fleeing in his white Ford Bronco. At that time, they had $8,750 in cash, their passports, and two masks.
That afternoon, someone spotted Simpson’s car, but he immediately gave himself up. He made suicidal threats and, as the entire country watched on television, led police on a slow-motion chase through Los Angeles freeways. At his Brentwood residence, Simpson eventually turned himself in.
In addition to Simpson’s blood, Brown and Goldman’s blood, hair, and fibers were also found at the scene. One of O.J Simpson’s gloves was also found at Brown’s home, while another was found outside his own residence. Bloody shoe prints from the crime scene also match O.J Simpson’s shoes.
However, before a large television audience, Simpson’s so-called “Dream Team” of attorneys, which included Johnnie Cochran and F. Lee Bailey, asserted that racial police officers, including Detective Mark Fuhrman, had falsely accused Simpson.
The jury acquitted Simpson after three hours of deliberation. He promised to track down the “actual killers,” but so yet, no fresh information has emerged.
Simpson was judged accountable for killing Goldman and assaulting Brown in February 1997 in a civil trial that the victims’ families initiated. He was forced to pay $33.5 million in damages, of which only a small portion has been paid.
When Simpson was detained for breaking into a room of a hotel in Las Vegas and stealing sports memorabilia at gunpoint, which he claimed had been stolen from him, in 2007, he found himself in legal trouble once more.
He was convicted of 12 offenses stemming from the incident, including armed robbery and kidnapping, and received a 33-year prison term on October 3 in 2008. Afterward, he was released in the year 2017 on the 14th of October.
