A 18-year-old from Germany has displaced Kylie Jenner this year, Forbes reports. Jenner was last year’s youngest billionaire, but she didn’t make it this year. She was dubbed the youngest self-made billionaire in 2019 following the success of Jenner’s brand Kylie Cosmetics, but as of October 2020 Forbes estimated her net worth at $700 million.
It is unclear how much money Kevin David Lehmann has inherited from his father, who inherited 50 percent of the dm-drogerie markt. It has a value of approximately $3.3 billion, according to Forbes. The second-youngest billionaire is 24-year-old Chinese national Wang Zelong. Her inheritance is $1.5 billion in pigment production business CNNC Hua Yuan Titanium Dioxide Co.
In fact, among the self-made billionaires in their 20s, only four are named Austin Russell (a Stanford dropout who established laser lidar startup Luminar technologies) and Stanley Tang and Andy Fang of DoorDash. Finally, Sam Bankman-Fried, 29, makes his $8.7 billion fortune as the founder of trading firms Alameda Research and FTX, the crypto derivative trading platform.
