What Happened Ten Years Before?
More than ten years ago, Cindy Anthony and George were catapulted into the public front when his daughter Casey Anthony was accused of murder when their 2-year-old granddaughter Caylee went missing near their Orlando home.
When George Anthony attempted suicide by overdose in 2009, Daytona Beach police intervened after receiving a 9-1-1 call from the attorney for the Anthony family.
On South Ridgewood Avenue, the Hawaii Motel was the scene of the event.
What Did Cindy Anthony Explain To The Police?
According to the police report, Cindy Anthony explained to detectives at the time that her husband was unhappy and depressed over the passing of their grandchild.
She claimed that she had asked him to choose some jewelry for Caylee for her funeral the day before he vanished. She claimed the request might have irritated him even more.
Defense attorneys for Casey testified that Caylee drowned accidentally and that George assisted in covering up the demise during the trial, which lasted for some days and captivated the nation’s attention.
Casey Anthony’s account was changed numerous times during the inquiry and prosecution.
In the year 2011, Casey Anthony’s murder conviction was overturned, but she was seen guilty of lying to the police.
Later interviews revealed that she doesn’t communicate with her father.
