At age 8, he made his first significant public performance in a racing event at Madison Square Arena.
The majority of his leaps are executed on a Honda CR500 Motocross bike. His father used a Harley-Davidson XR750, a much heavier motorcycle, to perform numerous world-record leaps.
Twenty world records had been set by Robbie Knievel, many of which were seen on television.
On A&E, he also had his program, “Knievel’s Wild Ride.” He executed a 150-foot leap over a line of tractor-trailer trucks in October 2011.
He also ran Knievel’s Custom Cycles, a customized motorcycle store near Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, in parallel to touring.
