Indian-born entrepreneur and YouTube phenomenon Dhar Mann has become well-known. Through his video production company, Dhar Mann Studios, he primarily makes short films for a youthful audience that he uploads on his self-titled YouTube channel.
Dhar Mann founded a real estate business at 19, but most of his endeavors, such as mortgage refinancing and luxury automobile rental services, failed.
He and former stockbroker Derek Peterson co-founded the hydroponics brand weGrow in January 2010.
They worked together to sell hydroponics supplies out of an Oakland supply house. Sadly, the weGrow store was shut down at the beginning of 2011, and Peterson sued the business for unpaid payments.

In 2018, Mann founded Dhar Mann Studios, a video production firm that produces movies for social media platforms, especially YouTube.
Mann first concentrated on producing inspirational films before switching to morality dramas. The New York Times critiqued his videos as founded on a flimsy and absolutist moral philosophy with clickbait names, despite Vulture’s description of them as feel-good videos encouraging people to treat one another kindly.
In a Mother Jones interview, Peterson charged Mann with running a hydroponics conspiracy after the weGrow store was shut down.
Mann’s spokesman claimed that Peterson made up the claims as payback for the dissolution of their partnership.
As Mann filed a counterclaim against Peterson seeking a cash and stock settlement in Peterson’s business, the legal dispute between the former business partners quickly changed course.
Mann was charged with 13 felony charges of fraud in 2012 for scamming a local beautification program, and he has since been charged with criminal counts while running his real estate firm, MannEdge Properties.
Nevertheless, in August 2013, prosecutors reduced the charges to five felonies. Mann entered a not-guilty plea to the charged offenses a year later.
