This year’s Golden Globes saw a remarkable performance by Jessica Chastain.
The Miss Sloane actress made a splash when she arrived at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles, shining in an Oscar de la Renta structured, semi-sheer gown.
The elaborate strapless dress, designed by Elizabeth Stewart, was covered with crystals sewn into the nude-tone bodice in a spiderweb pattern that started at her waist and continued up to the semicircular neckline down the column skirt.
Except for several Gucci rings, the singer didn’t wear any accessories, letting the eye-catching garment speak for itself.
She finished off her ensemble with a matching crystal-studded mask, a pair of sparkling champagne-toned platform shoes by Casadei, and her red hair pulled back into a low bun.
Her Role As Country Music Star
For her role as country music star Tammy Wynette in the miniseries George & Tammy, the Oscar winner is up for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television tonight.
She was also nominated for her Oscar-winning performance in the movie The Eyes of Tammy Faye the previous year.
The actress talked openly about her love of fashion as a means of self-expression in an interview from 2021.
“I adore fashion because I’m really sensitive and easily overstimulated, which is a strange thing to say. Both open and closed, I guess. I can tell if I’m wearing yellow. I can tell if I’m wearing a suit. I can sense the spirit of my clothing” At the moment, she said. “I don’t know how to put it, but every costume I get to wear makes me feel like a different kind of lady,” the author said.
