After realising that his experience on the new improv show Jury Duty was a hoax, Ronald Gladden remained in contact with the cast and crew, including actor James Marsden, whom he befriended on-screen.
Marsden, who played an “entitled Hollywood” version of himself, says it was important to maintain the friendship after filming ended.
Gladden was initially fooled, but relieved Marsden wasn’t who he pretended to be.
Gladden’s Kindness Made Him Popular
According to Jury Duty’s showrunner, Cody Heller, Gladden’s kindness made him popular on set. The show brought together many talented people, from the cast to the crew. However, everyone was impressed by each other’s abilities. Marsden even offers a sequel that tracks the two on an adventure.
Now pouring on Amazon’s free streaming site, Freevee, Jury Duty may have been a fake background for Gladden, but it resulted in some real-life friendships.
