Who Is Heather Rae, El Moussa?
Heather Rae El Moussa is Tarek El Moussa’s current wife. However, Heather Rae El Moussa is commemorating her newborn’s first month of life. The HGTV star and her spouse, Tarek El Moussa, welcomed their son, Tristan, on January 31. Heather, 35, marked the milestone by posting several delightful photographs of her little one on Tuesday.
In an Instagram story, she wrote, “Hi guys I’m one month old today!!!!” alongside an image of Tristan relaxing in a comfortable gray onesie. Heather also shared another photo of herself holding her baby and added a caption, “I’m as tired as I look, resting with a baby isn’t sleeping. It’s checking them every occasional minute, every noise, every movement…”
Aside from looking after Tristan, Heather is preparing for the debut of her and Tarek’s new show, The Flipping El Moussas, which premieres on March 2.
She revealed in a video update that she could take a break from filming and sneak in an interview between feedings, with her mother-in-law “holding down the fort” while they work.
Despite being on maternity leave, Heather is thrilled about the upcoming premiere and mentioned that they must complete the season for their viewers. However, baby Tristan is still her top priority. In another post, the new mom shared a photo of herself cuddling her son, saying, “Last day of February feels… I have a good feeling about this month.”
Tristan’s jaundice and tongue, cheek, and lip ties make breastfeeding difficult, and Heather has been open about her struggles as a new mother since Tristan was born.
Heather Spoke About Her Breastfeeding Journey
In a February 15 update, Heather snuggled Tristan and spoke about her breastfeeding journey. “Breastfeeding, for me, is certainly tougher than I thought,” she admitted. “I’m sure that I’ve been keeping the same trips that you all went through, so I want to tell you guys my travels and my muscles with everything, some of the challenges I’ve been keeping.”
Despite the difficulties, Heather expressed her love for breastfeeding and skin-to-skin contact. She also revealed that she was producing much milk but acknowledged that it was still harder than anticipated.
On February 22, Heather spoke exclusively and shared that she had been working with a lactation consultant to achieve the best outcome possible. She also shared on Instagram that feeding had improved for her and Tristan.
Heather emphasized the importance of a mother’s nutrition and hydration while breastfeeding and shared that the experience while challenging, was a beautiful bonding opportunity for her and Tristan.
The Flipping El Moussas premieres on March 2 on HGTV and discovery+.
