Lauren Graham’s husband was Peter William Krause. Unfortunately, in 2022, it was reported that Krause and Graham ended their 11-year relationship.

However, Lauren Graham, born on March 16, 1967, is a talented American actress and author. She has gained widespread recognition for her outstanding performances in two popular TV shows “Gilmore Girls” (2000-2007) and “Parenthood” (2010-2015).

In “Gilmore Girls,” she played the character of Lorelai Gilmore, and her portrayal earned her nominations for prestigious awards such as the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and Satellite Awards.

Who Is Peter William Krause?

Peter William Krause, born on August 12, 1965, is a multi-talented American actor, director, and producer. 

He has left a lasting impression in the entertainment industry with his captivating lead performances in several popular TV series. 

Some of his notable roles include Casey McCall in “Sports Night” (1998-2000), Nate Fisher in “Six Feet Under” (2001-2005), Nick George in “Dirty Sexy Money” (2007-2009), Adam Braverman in “Parenthood” (2010-2015), Benjamin Jones in “The Catch” (2016-2017), and Bobby Nash in “9-1-1” (2018-present).

For his outstanding performance in “Six Feet Under,” Krause received numerous accolades, including three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, two Golden Globe Award nominations, and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations. 

He went on to win twice for Outstanding Execution by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, cementing his place as a talented performer in the industry.

Peter William Krause’s Early Life

Peter William Krause came into the world on August 12, 1965, in Alexandria, Minnesota. He was raised in Roseville by his parents, Wanda Marie Krause (née Johnson) and William Popham “Bill” Krause. 

Krause has two siblings, Amy and Michael, and grew up in a supportive and educational environment. He attended Alexander Ramsey High School in Roseville, Minnesota, and graduated in 1983. 

While at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Krause initially pursued a pre-medical degree, but his love for acting was discovered in his junior year, leading him to change his major to English Literature. 

Throughout college, he was heavily involved in theater, performing in productions such as Paul Sills’ Story Theatre, Caryl Churchill’s Cloud 9, and Harold Pinter’s The Dumb Waiter, solidifying his passion for acting.

After earning his undergraduate degree in 1987, Krause moved to New York City to further hone his craft by obtaining a Master of Fine Arts phase in Acting from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. 

While there, he worked as a bartender at the Palace Theatre on Broadway, where he crossed paths with Aaron Sorkin, who later created the hit show “Sports Night,” which starred Krause.

Peter William Krause’s Career

Krause made his debut in the 1987 American slasher “Blood Harvest.” He then completed his Master of Fine Arts degree at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts in 1990 before moving to Los Angeles. 

In 1990-1991, he made his television debut by appearing in various roles on the Carol Burnett comedy anthology series “Carol & Company.” 

In the early 90s, Krause also had guest appearances in popular TV shows such as “Seinfeld,” “Beverly Hills, 90210,” and “Ellen.” 

From 1996 to 2000, he had a recurring role as Kevin, Cybill Shepherd’s son-in-law, on the sitcom “Cybill.”

From 1998 to 2000, Krause played the role of Casey McCall in “Sports Night.” 

Despite its positive reviews, the show struggled to attract a large audience and was canceled after two seasons.

Peter William Krause’s Personal Life 

Krause has a son, Roman, from a previous relationship with his ex-girlfriend Christine King. The birth of Rome occurred in 2001.

Krause then entered into a romantic relationship with actress Lauren Graham in 2010. The couple first encountered each other in 1995 during their appearance in the sitcom “Caroline in the City,” and later became romantically involved while co-starring in “Parenthood.” 

In 2022, it was reported that Krause and Graham ended their 11-year relationship in 2021.
