Who Is Lola Rock?
Chris Rock’s daughter, Lola Simone Rock, was born in 2002 and grew up in a world where black representation in politics and leadership was more prominent.
Despite being a celebrity’s child, Lola’s privacy has been protected, but an unverified Instagram account linked to her mother hinted at Lola’s love for food and culture.
In 2020, Lola graduated from high school and joined a European university after being part of the Bergen Passaic chapter of Jack & Jill of America, an organization that promotes leadership development among African-American youth.
Who Is Zahra Rock?
Zahra Rock, the youngest daughter of Chris Rock, was born on May 22, 2004, and has largely grown up outside of the spotlight of her famous father.
She rarely appears publicly with him but recently appeared in April 2022, following Chris’s physical altercation with Will Smith at the 94th Academy prize.
In Aug 2021, Zahra began her senior year in high school. Her mother shared a post on Instagram expressing how surreal it feels that her daughter is already a senior, as the past two years of Zahra’s high school were disrupted by COVID-19.
Zahra attends Spence in person, and her mother was moved to tears by the welcome she received on her first day of senior year.
However, Zahra’s equestrian days ended in April when she began the next chapter of her life. Zahra’s mother shared a post on April 16, 2021, expressing that it was a bittersweet day for her as Zahra’s “horse mom” of ten years. Zahra has decided to move on to the next phase of her life and will decide how horse riding will fit into her future.
Chris Mocks Selective Outrage & Addresses Will Smith’s Oscar Slap In Netflix Special
Comedian Chris Rock recently discussed the aftermath of the infamous Oscars slap from Will Smith in his live Netflix special, “Selective Outrage.” While his new material only alluded to the incident, Rock finally explained what happened toward the show’s end.
Despite the press pressuring him to open up about the incident, Rock stated that he wouldn’t be dissecting it on a talk show and emphasized that he was not a victim.
When asked if the slap hurt, Rock said that Will Smith is significantly bigger than him and that they aren’t the same size. He also mentioned that the title of his show was inspired by the incident, “Will Smith practices ‘Selective Outrage’.”
He clarified that he had nothing to do with the “Red Table Talk” outbreak featuring Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett, where she admitted to having an affair with another man.
Rock disclosed that he attempted to call Smith after the show aired, but the call was unanswered. He then enumerated every Hollywood actor who had referred to Smith as a “bitch” following the “Red Table Talk,” and he questioned why he had been struck.
Rock implied that his animosity with the Smith family was due to the 2016 Oscars he hosted. Due to the lack of diversity in the nominees that year, Pinkett Smith had called for a boycott, and Rock joked about it during the ceremony.
