Anthony Rendon was raised by his parents, Bridget and Rene Rendon, along with his older brother David.
After being drafted by the Atlanta Braves out of high school, Anthony decided to attend Rice University and play for the Owls under head coach Wayne Graham.
While at Rice, he won the 2010 Dick Howser Trophy and was a nominee for the Golden Spikes Award.
His impressive college career led to him being selected as the 6th overall pick in the 2011 MLB draft by the Washington Nationals.
Anthony made his major league debut with the Nationals in April 2013, after starting the season with the minor league team Harrisburg Senators.
He played for the Nationals until 2019 when he won a World Series Championship, two Silver Slugger Awards, one NL Comeback Player of the Year Award, and an MLB RBI Leader title.
Anthony is the baseman for the Los Angeles Angels of MLB, where he plays alongside Ryan Tepera and Patrick Sandoval. The guy has maintained a batting average of .285, hit 156 home runs, and achieved 635 RBIs.

Anthony Rendon grew up on the southwest side of Houston with his parents, Bridget and Rene Rendon, who raised him and his brother in a supportive environment. Bridget is of Caucasian descent, while Rene is Mexican.
From a young age, Anthony showed great potential in baseball and played T-ball by the age of five.
At Hodges Bend Middle School, he played basketball, track, and baseball and later attended George Bush High School before transferring to Lamar High.

Anthony Rendon’s mother, Bridget Rendon, is an experienced Document Control Specialist who has worked in the field for 22 years.
She recently joined Axens North America in March 2022 after working for a year at Burns & McDonnell Engineering India Pvt Ltd.
Before that, Bridget held the Document Management Program Lead position at Jacobs Engineering for over 17 years. She gained two years of experience working at Control Stolt Offshore before that.
Bridget is highly skilled in document control software, including Aconex, Share File, and Microsoft Word. She is fast, reliable, and a mid-level document control applicant.
Rene Rendon Occasionally Played Pool
Anthony Rendon’s father, Rene Rendon, was a well-known pool player in Houston. Despite being a great player, he chose to remain in the local scene, prioritizing his family over pursuing a professional career.
