Amy Slaton, star of the reality series 1000-LB Sisters, has reportedly separated from her husband, Michael Halterman, and plans to file for divorce soon.
The 35-year-old mother stays with her sister Tammy, who just got out of rehab, after leaving their family home in Kentucky with her two kids, Gage, 2, and Glenn, 7 months old.
As per a source close to the family, Amy and Michael have been at odds since last year. Amy claims that Michael is lazy and resentful of her focus on their children.
The reports have confirmed that the couple’s split is official, even though they haven’t officially requested a divorce in Kentucky. Amy’s reps have not commented on the matter.

Michael and Amy fell in love in high school. On March 15, 2019, they married in Nashville, Tennessee, although it wasn’t their first wedding.

Michael & Amy Kids
The couple’s first child, Gage, was born to Amy in November 2020. On July 5, 2022, the couple welcomed Glenn, their second son.
Tammy has commanded most of the screen time in previous seasons, yet she earns only $2,000 to $3,000 per episode.
The reports added that Tammy had no financial support from the show’s producers and paid for her 14 months of weight management with only the money she earned from the show.
But Amanda, who joined the cast in season three, is only reportedly paid $700 monthly for her appearances.
Amy Makes The Most Money
An individual who knows the scenario on 1000-Lb Sisters claims that Amy makes the most money because her kids, Gage and Glenn, have contracts.
The reports claim that Amy isn’t receiving the contracts’ earnings directly. Instead, she has created trusts for her sons that will eventually be used to pay for their college tuition.
The Slaton family thinks the producers are misrepresenting their tale in addition to the low wages. The producers cut out any real conversations cast members attempt to have on the show.
In addition, it’s been said that everyone from Season 4 Part A, including Tammy’s husband Caleb, has contracts to shoot Part B and cannot accept any other commercial chances during that time.
The Slaton family is annoyed by the limitations imposed by the show’s producers.

According to an exclusive unidentified source, Amy Slaton, star of 1000-LB Sisters, has separated from her husband, Michael Halterman, and intends to file for divorce soon.
Amy and Michael have left their Kentucky home with their two children due to marital problems and Michael’s resentment of the time Amy spends with their sons.
