General manager of the Philadelphia Eagles, Howie Roseman, made the announcement about the doubleheader on June 16 at the Linc on Thursday.
The event was held in a space resembling the scene from Billy Joel’s song “Scenes From An Italian Restaurant,” It had Eagles cheerleaders, their mascot Swoop, and mannequins with team jerseys for Joel and Nick.
“When I think of the people that I love listening to, I think of legendary performers,” Roseman said after being introduced by Live Nation regional head Geoff Gordon. “We talk about bringing talent to this stadium, and today I want to announce that on June 16, we will have Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel performing live at Lincoln Financial Field.
