On Tuesday, a man carried a “Free Billie Eilish” placard and mounted a TV tower. It caused the closure of Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard for over three hours. The man recreated his guitar while climbing the 162-foot tower of California news station KTLA, but only operated to climb 30 feet.
The “protester” was eventually taken down and imprisoned by police shortly after midnight (PST). The LA dept positioned an airbag below the building to ensure the man’s secure return to the floor.
Traffic near the TV tower stopped, and police stopped off nearby roads while officials requested the man to come down. Power was also cut to the building. The individual has been directed to as a “protester,” but the basis for his protest is unclear.
He was carrying a white sheet with black handwriting that read, “MK ultra sex slaves donald marshall clones.” The man was jailed on trespassing charges, according to CBS 8 producer Malik Earnest.
