People adore the eccentric reality TV program Pawn Stars, which has a colorful cast.
One of HISTORY’s most popular shows seems to be the story of Rick Harrison, including family and the people who helped him manage the famous Las Vegas pawn shop, but there’s much more to its stars than first appears.
Consider Rick’s greatest recent legal troubles, which are very much in the news online.
However, Rick is not yet behind bars at the time of this writing, but he is dealing with some major legal problems.
His Mother Joanne Harrison
The seasoned reality personality is embroiled in a legal dispute against his mom, Joanne Harrison, which claims that he mismanaged and siphoned off money through their trust fund and possessions, the family business, and a variety of other investments.
“Now that I’ve already seen Audit story and everything that is accused in the lawsuit, I could really say that the allegations are untrue and I reckon that my 81-year-old mother has been influenced by others to benefit their self benefit,” Rick reportedly said in response to his 81-year-old mother’s accusations, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
In 1981, Joanne and Rick’s maternal grandfather Richard “The Old Man” Harrison, opened the Universe Gold & Silver Thrift Store, highlighted on Pawn Stars.
The lawsuit claims that Richard and Joanne worked diligently for years to convert their buy-and-sell business into a pawn store, which in 2009 had become the Globe Gold & Silver Pawn Shop.
Rick Allegedly Forced Joanne
Rick allegedly forced Joanne to give off her ownership interest in the business when she was critically ill, according to Joanne.
She says she eventually discovered what he committed and challenged him about it when she left the clinic and subsequently got into a fight with Rick.
Richard appears to have intervened and informed Joanne that Rick Joanne argues that Rick hasn’t supplied documentation of the company’s finances since Richard passed away in 2018.
Additionally, it says that Richard had about $500,000 in silver plus $100,000 in cash when he passed away, but Joanne never was provided specifics about his possessions.
Joanne had been receiving $25,000 monthly from Rick, but something happened.
Joanne is also trying to determine the significance of a mysterious $3 million debt Rick took out.
